Sustainability & Energy Analyst

Vesta Consulting, a pioneering company dedicated to providing an extensive array of sustainability and ESG services across the Nordic region, is thrilled to invite a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Energy Analyst.  This role will see you working alongside our accomplished Environmental impact and Building analytics team members, contributing to impactful projects right from our vibrant Riga office.

Your Role

As an  Energy Analyst,  you'll play a pivotal role in our mission to transform the built environment into a hub of sustainability excellence. Collaborating closely with our team members and engaging with an array of stakeholders including architects, engineers, energy consultants, and general contractors, you will champion sustainable outcomes. Your tasks will encompass:

• Building modelling (dynamic energy modelling, heat and cooling loads, HVAC system analysis, thermal comfort analysis, passive design analysis, daylight modelling);
• Building energy performance assessment (Consultancy on energy performance design and certification, energy performance of buildings and achieving zero emission balance);
• Energy audits of buildings;
• Preparation of studies on the feasibility of renewable energy systems, adaptation to climate change and sustainability;
• Preparation of reports for clients;
• Review and systematisation of technical documentation;
• Arranging and attending meetings with clients and internal team members, taking minutes, and following up on action items;
• Participation in meetings with clients, design teams and construction companies.

• Fluent Latvian and English communication skills; proficiency in other languages is an added advantage.
• Have a university degree in building energy engineering, energy engineering, building services engineering, environmental engineering or other related disciplines;
• 2 years experience in dynamic modelling of buildings;
• Building energy auditor certification and/or building energy performance expert certification;
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, building engineering, energy efficiency, sustainable architecture, construction, building dynamic modelling;
• Advanced analytical abilities with data analysis experience;
• A genuine passion for sustainability and the built environment;
• Research and problem-solving skills;
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to discern and meet client needs effectively;
• A team player mindset, driven by collaboration and collective success.
