Chief accountant

• Ensuring the Group's accounting cycle, organising and monitoring the processes in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia and the Group's accounting policy.
• Submitting reports and documents in EDS.
• In liaison with the Head of Finance, follow the accounting, budgeting and reporting processes as required by Corporate Management, Regional Management, the CEO and the Board.
• Actively participate in the financial month-end closure and coordinate the work of the accounting staff for the financial month-end.
• Monitor the performance of the iScala accounting system and other applications related to day-to-day work, making improvements in cooperation with the IT department and consultants.
• Cooperation with public authorities and internal/external auditors.
• Monitor and update the necessary instructions to ensure compliance with Group and local LR legislation.
• Payroll in the absence of a payroll accountant.

• Previous experience as a Chief Accountant.
• Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.
• Good understanding of financial accounting, VAT law and the taxation system in the Republic of Latvia.
• Good communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility and accuracy, independence, ability to work with large amounts of data.
• Excellent computer skills, experience of working with Scala software would be an advantage.
• Experience in an international company would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Latvian and English.

Salary level: EUR 2500- 2800 gross.
