Chief Accountant

We are looking for a self-driven individual to join our team as a new  Chief Accountant to work closely with cross-functional teams of Hesburger -organization and work as an immediate supervisor of the accounting team of five person.

Your main responsibilities will include managing the accounting for multiple companies and preparing the consolidated financial statements, which involves collaborating with auditors and the company’s management in Finland.

Additionally, you will handle communication with auditors for financial statements and public administration organizations, as well as provide tax and accounting consulting. Ensuring internal accounting controls and timely tax reporting will also be a key part of your role. You will prepare management reports, oversee the accounting team, and provide support to Latvian departments.

In addition, you will be responsible for consulting and support relating labor law, daily consultation on tax and accounting matters and communication with public administration organizations.

• A group accounting professional: You will be responsible for group accounting together with your team.
• Good computer skills: Good computing skills (Microsoft 365). Knowledge of accounting-related systems will be considered an advantage.
• Language skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Latvian and English.
• Highly Organised: Skilled in managing and completing task efficiently, accurately and with deadlines
• Eager to learn new things: Open to learning new things and embracing challenges.
• Strong teamwork skills: You will act as a supervisor of five team members.

We are excited to offer a versatile and responsible full-time position in a successful, internationally operating company. This is a permanent role based in our lovely office in Riga. Your supervisor will be our lovely Chief Financial Officer Heidi Sihvo.
